Northeast Itasca Rescue was formally founded in 1994, and provides volunteer emergency medical services (EMS) to the Bear River and Togo communities of Northern Minnesota. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is operated by dedicated volunteers. Our service area is 321 square miles, or approximately nine townships. The volunteers are trained to either the Emergency Medical Responder or Emergency Medical Technician level, and provides care to patients prior to the arrival of the responding ambulance.
